Dana, also known as Rohani, was born in The Bronx and raised in her paternal homeland Barbados, immersed in Caribbean arts and culture. Her formative years were spent learning and performing West African Dance, competing in Netball, and tending to a home garden. When she moved to New York City as an adolescent she gravitated towards theater and began performing with Broadway Juniors.

Since then, Dana has co-written, choreographed for, and performed in community theater, as well as created curricula and provided education around land stewardship through Good Shepherd Services . Currently, she is more actively working with poetry and hosts an annual open mic at the James Baldwin Outdoor Learning Center where she is a Board Member. With a degree in Business Administration and another in Political Science, she highly values community organizing. Her most recent endeavors are free and public workshops surrounding art, health, community building, and natural living by way of Home of Prana. As of September 2025 she has been enjoying becoming part of the Braata Productions Family where she can meaningfully contribute to the longevity of Caribbean arts & culture.
