Colette Ambo is a dynamic performing artist, and writer from the Commonwealth of Dominica. With a rich background in arts administration, Colette dedicated six years of her career to Amas Musical Theatre, where she worked in various capacities, contributing to the organization's mission of celebrating diversity and providing opportunity for new voices. Passionate about cultural arts and preservation, Colette is dedicated to promoting the rich heritage of her Caribbean roots.

As a performer, Colette has graced off-Broadway and off-off Broadway stages across New York City and has performed nationally. She has performed with companies such as First Woman LLC, The ChoreoJoey Project, NY Arts Unlimited, Stage Aurora, Black Spectrum Theatre, No Exit Theatre, and Essence of Acting to name a few.

In 2022, she became a valued member of the Braata family and the Braata Singers, furthering her commitment to the vibrant traditions of Caribbean music, performance, and folk tradition. Through this work, Colette continues to champion the importance of cultural preservation in the arts.
