“CariBites” is an event staged at no cost to low income families from areas which might not traditionally be exposed to Caribbean culture. It will feature mobile and improvised live performances from various Caribbean acts, with a complement of FREE culinary delights from various Caribbean islands and other family-friendly events and activities.

CariBites will differ from its previous incarnations by broadening the content to focus on the Caribbean as a whole, highlighting different Caribbean cultures. “Greater emphasis will be placed on seeing the Caribbean as more than just Jamaica,” Clarke said. “Hence the inclusion of other islands’ foods.” The ‘bites’ will change from year to year.
